Hello friends and family. Many of you supported me last year during my very first Climate Ride, and now I'm committing myself to another year of riding and raising money for issues that need our support. I greatly appreciate any donation you can make to help me reach my fundraising goal and work to raise awareness of climate change and bike advocacy!

Over the last few years living in DC, I have learned to love the opportunity to bike as a way to commute and get around the city. I have witnesses, first hand, the growth in the cycling community here in DC and the number of bike lanes and support for improved cycling infrastructure. Still, it remains a challenge for cyclists to feel 100% safe in a city that was built originally for cars, buses, taxis... all of the funds I raise will be going back to local bicycling advocacy organizations (such as the Washington Area Bicycle Association, Bike New York, and Rails to Trails Conservancy) to help continue efforts to make biking a safe and reliable option for people here and in other communities across the country.

Another important aspect of this ride is to raise awareness of the seriousness of climate change. I do my best on a day to day basis working on this issue for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), but also know that the Climate Ride is a way to elevate the issue and show that there are many people and organizations who want to see action to fight this serious problem. The ride will also benefit a organizations focused on finding solutions to climate change, including my own organization, EDF.

Through the Climate Ride, I will be riding over 300 miles to raise awareness for these issues and raise money for non-profit organizations that I really believe in. Your generous donation will help my beneficiaries work to turn the tide, build the green economy, and secure our energy future.

You can make a secure online donation today by clicking on the 'Support Me' button. You'll automatically receive an acknowledgment and I will be notified by email of your support.

Thank you for your help!
