I'm off on another bicycle adventure. Though this time it's not the type of adventure that takes me half way around the world, this one is happening right here in California!
I will be riding more than 300 miles September 9-13 from Fortuna to San Francisco along some of the most beautiful roads in N. California to raise awareness about climate change and bike advocacy. My participation, and your donations, will support the important regional bike advocacy work of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC).
It is very clear that there are a host of issues affecting the health of our planet and the health of our society. Right now, it’s more important than ever to work toward a sustainable and green future. A great way that you can help do something meaningful, substantial, and concrete is to support my fundraising for Climate Ride. Your generous donation will help SVBC work to turn the tide, build the green economy, and secure our energy future.
SVBC needs your help. If you feel it’s important to promote the bicycle for everyday use, help them do just that. If you think it’s important to foster a safe environment for cycling, support their unprecedented efforts in this area. If you feel that children should once again be able to know the joy and freedom that comes with riding a bicycle, help SVBC teach them. SVBC can’t do it without you. Make a contribution to keep SVBC leading the way to a more bike-friendly future.
